A case study: A SWOT analysis of small-scale rainwater harvesting system in Batu Pahat

Abstract Rainwater harvesting is a common practice of storing water in container before it will be used for other purposes. On domestic scale, homeowners with rainwater system (RWHS) installed their houses faced challenges to maintain and use the stored water. Therefore, this study aims identify strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats (SWOT) conventional small-scale RWHS. A comprehensive opinion RWHS gathered through series semi-structured interview Batu Pahat district. The result indicates afterthought design leads bigger problems such as difficult maintain, unknown quality, hazards children, fixed undesirable design. authors conclude by presenting results form SWOT analysis offering some recommendations mitigate existing addressed study.
